         On completion of his country wide tour, Sri Pothuluri Veerabrahmendra Swamiji at last, reached Banaganapalle in Kurnool District. He stayed in the house of Garimireddi Acchchamma, taking care of the cattle and wrote his Kalagnanam in nearly Ravvala Konda. On completion of writing Kalagnanam, he got the Palmyra leaves (on which it was wirrten) buried and a Tamarind tree was planted on that. As time passes, his Kalagnana is getting popular among the people and is getting widely acclaimed by all. As the tamarind tree was got planted by Swamiji fell down due to heavy rains and winds, the villagers got another tamarind tree planted on the same place. That is now called as “Chintamanu Mattam”. Developing Chintamanu Mattam with the support of donors and the villagers around the area, free food is provided to the tourists and devotes who continue to throng there at all times.

By Road: Banaganapalle is located 130 km from Kadapa. It is well connected by road. The preferable route is Kadapa-Mydukur-Proddutur-Banaganapally. From Mydukur the distance is 37 km. From Hyderabad the route is Hyderabad - Kurnool - Bethamcherla-Banaganapalle. Direct buses are available from Badvel, Mydukur, Proddutur, Kadapa, Nandyal and Kurnool. Distance from Kurnool to banaganapalle is around 59 km. Guest houses are available at Banaganapalle.

By Train: Kurnool City Railway Station in Andhra pradesh is served by the South Central Railways. It is located in the city center and is on the Chennai-Bangalore line. Chennai Express, Sampathkranthi Express, Venkatadri Express, Thungabhadra Express and Kanyakumari Express pass through this station. Computerized reservation facility is provided. Going east, the main station next to Kurnool is Ananthapur Railway Station (165 km) and moving west, the next main station is Nandyal Railway Station (157 km.)
